COLAS RAIL WINS A NEW CONTRACT FOR THE LINE B EXTENSION OF THE LYON METRO

Colas Rail was awarded the contract for the extension of line B extension of the Lyon metro by SYTRAL (Syndicat mixte des transports pour le Rhône et l’agglomération lyonnaise). This 2.4 km extension will connect the current Line B terminal “Gare d’Oullins” to the newly built “Hôpitaux Lyon Sud” station located in the city of Saint-Genis-Laval. The line will serve the southwest of greater Lyon and connect business and education centers to the central city.

Bombardier to supply 28 additional BiLevel commuter rail cars to US West Coast transportation authorities

Global mobility solution provider Bombardier Transportation has signed contracts for 28 BOMBARDIER BiLevel commuter rail cars with two US West Coast transportation authorities in a procurement led by the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) in Seattle, Washington. The total combined value of the contracts is approximately $108 million US (99 million euro).
