HARTING has developed a new solution based on 3D-MID technology that is capable of replacing flexible circuit boards. Thanks to component carriers, cost savings of up to two-thirds can be achieved.

Sacramento orders 20 light rail vehicles from Siemens Mobility

Siemens Mobility has been awarded a contract from the U.S. operator Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) for 20 new light rail vehicles (LRVs). This is the first new order from Sacramento since the late 1980s, when SacRT ordered 36 U2A vehicles from Siemens Mobility. The contract, including the 20 trains, spare parts and tools is approximately US$100 million.

TX Logistik doubles number of round trips for Coop in Sweden

TX Logistik AG, a company specialized in Europe-wide transport services and part of the Italian railway group Polo Mercitalia (FS Italiane Group), has expanded its rail freight traffic in Sweden. As of 6 April, the number of trains between Bro (Stockholm) and Malmo for the Swedish retail chain Coop was increased from 10 to 20 per week. The connection is used to supply foodstuffs to the supermarkets in the south of the country.
