On March 2, Dongshan Tunnel, a key control project on the Suqi Highway (from Sunan Yugur Autonomous County of Gansu Province to Qilian County in Qinghai Province) along G213 National Highway, was successfully completed, marking the completion of the passageway linking Gansu and Qinghai along the Belt and Road. Construction of the tunnel is undertaken by China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group.
GB Railfreight (GBRf) and Electro-Motive Diesel Limited (EMDL), a legal entity of Progress Rail, a Caterpillar Company, have signed a contract extension to the full-service provision arrangements between businesses, which have been in place since 2012.
The Finnish fleet management company VR FleetCare has signed a contract on the extensive modernisation and commercial upgrade of couchette coaches acquired by the Norwegian train operator Vy Tog AS. The contract covers the modernisation of eight BDcmz 874.1 couchette coaches. The project starts immediately, and the refurbished cars will be delivered to the customer during 2021.
Our second train departed from Ganzhou, China, for Europe on 22nd March. Taking only 15 to 18 days, it is expected to reach Budapest shortly, from where goods can then be distributed across Europe on our TransNET.
