CAF and Dutch operator Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) have signed a contract for the supply of 302 further CIVITY passenger cars. They will be allocated to 50 3-car trains and 38 4-car trains. In total, this contract is worth around 400 million euros.
The European Parliament has approved a report on funding the Connecting Europe Facility during the next EU budget period. This facility is an important means by which the EU supports infrastructure projects that go beyond national borders.
Private, French-owned (Transdev) rail operator Bayerische Oberlandbahn GmbH (BOB) and Alstom have signed a contract for 25 Coradia Lint trains. This contract follows the signing of a Letter of Intent in September 2018.
