Global mobility solution provider Bombardier Transportation has been awarded a contract by Deutsche Bahn (DB) to modernize their current S-Bahn Stuttgart fleet consisting of 423 and 430 series trains. The modernization will increase passenger comfort considerably.

Today, global mobility provider Bombardier Transportation delivered the 200th BOMBARDIER TRAXX locomotive to its customer Railpool, one of Europe’s leading rail vehicle leasing companies. The handover took place at Bombardier’s Kassel site in Germany and highlighted the strong partnership between Bombardier and Railpool that has lasted for more than a decade.

The TRAXX Africa locomotives have each made around 1,600 round trips of 2,200 km and moved over ten million tons of freight since starting service in December 2017
