With a transit time of just 48 hours ÖBB Rail Cargo Group is transporting Lamborghini URUS car bodies from Germany to Italy. Transports by eco-friendly rails reduces 1.903 tons of CO2 and Lamborghinis carbon footprint by 85 %.

Through this new partnership, ÖBB Rail Cargo Group and Pacific Eurasia are connecting Europe and Asia and further enhancing the potential of the New Silk Road. The Köseköy Terminal will function as a central hub between both continents.

In 2020, the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group transported around 70,000 TEU on the New Silk Road. That’s more freight than ever before. It equates to double the volumes transported in 2019.

The contract between ÖBB Rail Cargo Group and LogServ for the “Joint Use of Dispatch Wagons” has been extended for another five years. This unique collaboration is the first of its kind in Europe.
