The Orange Line (Line 3) of the Riyadh Metro network officially opened to passengers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Developed by Webuild on behalf of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), the Orange Line (Line 3) represents an innovative blend of technology and sustainability. Spanning approximately 41 kilometres, it is the longest driverless line in the capital city’s metro system, which was inaugurated last November. The Orange Line is set to enhance urban mobility in the Saudi capital, improving the quality of life for residents and visitors alike, aligning with the ambitions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

With the public opening of the , the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) successfully completes the phased rollout of the Riyadh Metro, with the Orange Line having officially commenced passenger operations on 05 January.

Passengers in Riyadh can now access five stations along the network’s Orange Line (Line 3): ‎Jeddah Road Station, Tuwaiq Station, Douh Station, Harun Al-Rashid Road Station and Al-‎Naseem Station. The Al-‎Naseem Station also serves as a key transfer point, connecting the Orange ‎Line with the Purple Line.‎

The Riyadh Metro network is one of the world’s largest infrastructure projects for sustainable mobility. Comprising six lines spanning 176 kilometres—including the Orange Line (Line 3)—it connects residential and commercial districts with cultural landmarks. The network addresses the transportation needs of the Saudi capital’s growing population, providing an efficient and sustainable alternative to road travel.

The network’s Orange Line (Line 3) connects the eastern and western parts of Riyadh, spanning a 41-kilometer route from Jeddah Road in the west to the Second Eastern Ring Road near the Khashm Al Aan area in the east. This milestone marks the culmination of the phased operational plan introduced during the project’s inauguration.
