Webuild: Riyadh Metro's Orange Line (Line 3) opens to the public

The opened its doors to passengers todayof the Riyadh metro network , in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Orange Line is an innovative project that combines technology and sustainability , built by Webuild on behalf of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC). At approximately 41 kilometers , the line is the longest of the entire driverless metro network of the capital, inaugurated last November. The Orange Line will contribute to the urban mobility needs of the Saudi capital, improving the quality of life of residents and visitors, in line with the ambitious goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 .

With the opening of the Orange Line (Line 3) to the public, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) successfully completes the phased opening of the Riyadh Metro , with the Orange Line officially starting passenger operations on January 5.

Passengers in Riyadh can now access five stations along the Orange Line (Line 3) network: ‎Jeddah Road Station, Tuwaiq Station, Douh Station, Harun Al-Rashid Road Station and Al-‎Naseem Station . Al-‎Naseem Station also serves as a key transfer point, connecting the Orange Line with the Purple Line.

The Riyadh Metro network is one of the world's largest sustainable mobility infrastructure projects. With six lines spanning 176 kilometers, of which the Orange Line (Line 3) is a part, it connects residential and commercial neighborhoods and cultural landmarks. The network thus responds to the transportation needs of the Saudi capital's growing population and offers an efficient and sustainable alternative to road travel.

The Orange Line (Line 3) network connects the eastern and western parts of Riyadh, covering a 41-kilometer route from Jeddah Road in the west to the Second Eastern Ring Road near the Khashm Al Aan area in the east. This milestone marks the culmination of the phased operational plan introduced during the inauguration of the project.
