RECARO RAIL INCREASES CAPABILITIES AND PLANS TO UNVEIL NEW SEAT AT INNOTRANS
RECARO Rail, a division of the RECARO Group known for award-winning seats across various industries, like aircraft seating solutions and gaming seats, has several exciting highlights to showcase next week at the InnoTrans Expo.
After nearly a year of development, RECARO Rail will unveil the new regional seat platform Luna to be announced during a special media event on Wednesday. Two versions of the seat will be available, a wider Luna+ seat version with reclining mechanism as well as a standard seat configuration. Both allowing for a high level of customization with different color varieties and upholstery types. The seat comes with a fresh design at an attractive weight of 11kg for a single seat module.
Additionally, RECARO Rail is advancing passenger ergonomics, drawing on decades of RECARO seating solutions that focus on optimal seat contouring, body angles, and pressure distribution Many of these seating solutions are developed in collaboration with operators to customize seating based on industry standards and needs of OEMs. This includes passenger safety features as well as updates to seat weight for improved transport efficiency. In the product segment Intercity the new platform Orion will be presented during the expo in a customer specific design.
RECARO Rail is also pleased to announce that Timo Lenzen will join the executive team as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in November. With two decades of RECARO experience in the aviation sector, Timo’s expertise in engineering and R&D will continue to drive passenger seating solutions with a strong focus on sustainability, ergonomics, and safety.
