RECARO Rail has built a stable foundation for their future in the railway industry over the past three years. With the transfer of knowledge from other RECARO divisions, investments in R&D, ergonomic developments, and design modernization, RECARO Rail is positioned to set new trends in the railway sector.
RECARO Rail has expanded their product range to include the best-selling Luna seating series, introduced last year and recognized for setting new interior design standards for the regional rail train segments. The range also features Vela, designed for both extended regional and long-distance segments, and combines modern aesthetics and enhanced passenger comfort, with a strong focus on sustainability and durability. Both seating options are characterized by lower weight and improved ergonomics for passenger comfort. Additional sustainability measures include optimization of carriage layout for improved passenger comfort and maximized space utilization.
These enhancements have led to successful collaborations with transport operators across Europe, including this newest generation of seating, that will be featured with leading carriers from countries such as Germany and Romania. One of the newest partnerships being for a fleet of trains manufactured by PESA which will be operated by the Romanian Railway Reform Authority (ARF), demonstrating RECARO Rail’s commitment to quality and reliability.
“This project is a strong endorsement to the quality, comfort, and reliability that RECARO Rail stands for and marks a significant milestone in our mission to deliver best-in-class seating solutions,” said René Dankwerth, CEO RECARO Rail and Chief Business Development Officer at RECARO Holding.
Although the company is expanding its scope of partnerships to new countries, RECARO Rail continues to place a large focus on the Polish market where long-term partnerships with major operators and OEMs exist and continue to grow.
“As we continue to expand our capabilities, we’re dedicated to demonstrating our flexibility and innovation, therefore bringing a new energy to the rail industry,” said Dankwerth. “By working closely with our customers, we can ensure that our partners receive seating solutions tailored to their needs, further establishing RECARO Rail as a reliable seating manufacturer in the market.”
