		Boten-Vientiane Section of the China-Laos Railway Begins Cable Installation
China Railway (Wuhan) Electrification Engineering Group Co., Ltd. successfully installed the first high-voltage power cable of the Boten-Vientiane section of the China-Laos Railway in a tunnel near Vang Vieng, Laos on October 28.

The installation of the 5,736-meter cable took five hours, heralding the beginning of the power cable construction of the Boten-Vientiane section of the railway.
The high-current engineering project of the Boten-Vientiane section consists of high-voltage power cables of more than 373.5 kilometers, low-voltage power cables of 223 kilometers, seven routes of external power lines, 32 low-voltage transformer substations, eight distribution substations, and 176 box-type substations.
