EU: Shift2Rail Announces Affiliated Events at InnoTrans 2018
Shift2Rail (S2R) is attending InnoTrans 2018 and will be showcasing its most recent developments in technology for the rail industry. In addition to this the organisation, which is part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, has announced its participation in several events at the largest trade fair in the sector.
3rd InnoTrans Luncheon for Women in Mobility (19 September)
10:30-17:00, Berlin Messe, CityCube (Invitation Only)
This networking event is an opportunity for leading women in the transport sector to exchange ideas and develop links. The lunch includes a keynote speech by Professor Sabina Jeschke, Member of the Management Board for Digitalization and Technology at Deutsche Bahn AG.
European Railway Clusters Initiative (ERCI) Innovation Awards (19 September)
15:00-17:00, Berlin Messe, CityCube
The ERCI Innovation awards support the development of new technology to meet the needs of freight and passenger services in the European rail industry. The ERCI includes 11 research and development clusters from 9 countries. The clusters represent approximately 1000 SMEs across the industry.
The awards will be presented by Violeta Bulc, the EU Commissioner for Mobility and Transport. Bulc is also expected to visit the Shift2Rail stand at 12 pm on 18 September.

InnoTrans Business Days Berlin 2018 (18–21 September)

This event, hosted by the Enterprise Europe Network Berlin-Brandenburg, is designed to give businesses the opportunity to profile themselves and set up meetings with other organisations in the industry to develop trade links and research initiatives.
