Vienna: Where the heart of Silk Road beats in 2024
The annual European Silk Road Summit is ready to celebrate its 8th anniversary.
This edition takes place on 27 & 28 November in Vienna, and once again, it will serve as the meeting point for hundreds of Eurasian rail logistics professionals, bring the rail freight industry closer, and tackle critical topics.
Only a few days are left before the Silk Road industry gets together for the flagship European Silk Road Summit event, this time in Vienna, Austria. This year's topic, 'A rebounding market – An expanding network', reflects the situation in which the Eurasian rail industry has found itself in the past year.
After some time of dropping volumes and performance ignited by various factors, rail managed to regain its value and importance in Asia-Europe logistics in a matter of months. However, the market is different from what it was a couple of years ago, and companies need to navigate a new landscape which demands more agile and tailored solutions for customers. The discussion about maximising the appeal and effectiveness of rail in this context will be the centrepiece of the European Silk Road Summit 2024.
What should one expect from this year's edition?
The European Silk Road Summit 2024 in Vienna will have everything: A site tour to Metrans' HUB DUNAJSKA STREDA, expert speeches and viewpoints, panel discussions on the shifting role of Silk Road rail, infrastructure and technology issues, possibilities, and investments, the future of the Middle Corridor, and the role of EU policy are some of the things that attendees will have the chance to follow.
