At the Innotrans trade fair (September 24-27, 2024), the automation company Pilz is showing innovative control solutions for the digital rail. The highlight is the new safe and modular rail control system PSSrail, which Pilz is presenting for the first time in Berlin. System providers and integrators now have a platform available to implement their digitization projects quickly and in a customized manner. Pilz is thus driving forward the digitization of rail transport. Visitors can experience the configuration and possible applications of the rail control system on various demonstrators. Pilz is exhibiting in Hall 27, Stand 550.
Pilz solutions for digital rail include the use of the PSSrail control system as an object controller, digital remote access to signal boxes, the control and monitoring of level crossings or electrically locally controlled switches. The control system is compatible with the latest EULYNX standard and thus enables the implementation of digitalization projects in the railway infrastructure.
Live demo for object controller
As a representative of the wide range of applications for the new rail control system, Pilz is showing the application as an object controller at Innotrans: Pilz's control system translates the digital control commands from the signal boxes into signals for track-side components. At its exhibition stand, Pilz is showing the interaction of control technology with signaling technology from Pilz's partner Pintsch.
Configure digitization solutions yourself
In addition to the hardware, the new PSSrail rail control system also consists of a software suite for programming or configuring user programs. Railway-certified function blocks are stored in a program library and enable simple and faster implementation. With PSSrail, system providers and integrators significantly reduce the time and technical effort required to implement digitization projects. At Innotrans, visitors to the Pilz exhibition stand can test the different options for configuring individual solutions themselves using a software demo.
