- Cutting edge technology solutions for rolling stock, rail infrastructure, rail services, turnkey systems, software and rail components.
- Innovative use cases like energy and capacity optimized train operations where train operations, maintenance and passenger operations will be more interoperable and digitally interconnected.
- Powerful customer proof points of our promise to make software more modular, create APIs and further develop rail-software into the cloud.
At InnoTrans, we showcase an exciting selection of our portfolio highlights. At our booth located at hub27, we strive to provide an excellent customer experience. Additionally, you can explore some of our vehicles in the equally impressive outdoor area. Before your visit to InnoTrans 2024, get a sneak peek of what awaits you by reading the summary of the different topic areas on display this year.
Sustainability
In line with our commitment to sustainability and addressing climate change, we are actively integrating solutions for our customers and implementing measures within our own company that add value to the entire rail value chain. Our focus is on supporting decarbonization, improving resource efficiency, and promoting the societal benefits of railways. To achieve this, we employ a holistic and business-centric approach to sustainability management. This includes e.g. implementing new drive technologies such as hydrogen trains and offering sustainable lifecycle services. In all our projects, we strive to achieve the highest sustainability goals and minimize our environmental impact. Our collective efforts were recognized with the prestigious platinum medal in the 2023 EcoVadis Sustainability Rating. This accolade positions us as a leader in the rail industry and places us in the top 1 percent of all companies assessed.
Digitalization
Digitalization is the enabler for achieving a carbon-neutral transportation system for both passengers and freight. Our goal is to offer software and services that combine IT and OT to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of rail operations while reducing costs throughout the lifecycle. We achieve this through a wide landscape of customer-centric solutions, e.g. the integration of digital services and applications, as well as through partnerships with various stakeholders. We offer a comprehensive app suite for maintenance intelligence of infrastructure, rolling stock and assets which helps to minimize CO2 emissions associated with production. These operator solutions are rounded out by our Mobility as a Service (MaaS) passenger platforms combining multiple services in one app.
Siemens Xcelerator
Unlocking the full potential of trains and tracks is crucial for sustainable and cost-effective public transportation. At Siemens, our digital transformation strategy, coupled with the Siemens Xcelerator open digital business platform, brings together rail asset owners, operators, and maintainers within a single mobility ecosystem. In 2022, we launched Siemens Xcelerator, the open, digital business platform which creates customer value by digital services and applications powered by standardized APIs. This year, we go one step further and share how we execute this in passenger operations, enhance lifecycle and operations management, and drive advanced automation to transform cities and countries. By seamlessly combining the real and digital worlds, we unleash additional digitally-enabled rail capacity and empower our customers to maximize their network capacity, help maximizing the occupancy of trains and guarantee 100% system availability. Explore more at InnoTrans 2024.
Mainline
As urbanization continues to shape our cities and increase the demand for mobility, the future of transportation infrastructure is at a turning point, especially when it comes to long-distance connections. Our intelligent infrastructure and signaling solutions lay the foundations to connect cities and countryside, enhancing capacity, safety, and efficiency. ETCS or digital interlocking systems future-proof our customers' investments, just to name a few of our offerings, while our fleet of vehicles ensures maximum reliability and meets sustainability standards. Examples include our high-speed train, the Velaro Novo, and regional trains such as Desiro and Mireo. Currently, we are constructing the world's 6th largest high-speed, electrified mainline and freight rail network from scratch in Egypt. InnoTrans will provide the opportunity to explore how we are leading the way in revolutionizing mainline railways, delivering sustainable, efficient, and intelligent solutions for the cities of tomorrow.
Urban Transport
Siemens Mobility provides comprehensive solutions to address the challenges of urban mass transit, focusing on improving the experience for both transport providers and passengers. Our intelligent and interconnected infrastructures enable flexible and efficient train operations. Through our automatic train control systems, we enhance automation, reduce wait times, and improve energy efficiency. Our lightweight and environmentally-friendly rolling stock portfolio ensures comfortable and sustainable travel. By leveraging digitalization, we optimize operational processes, enhance passenger experience, and maximize system availability. With a proven track record in nearly 50 cities worldwide, including major projects such as the world’s first GoA4to-GoA4 metro modernization of Line 14 in Paris and the Oslo Metro modernization, we are the trusted partner to transform urban mass transit worldwide.
