SYSTRA ACCOMPANIES CANADIAN OPERATOR EXO IN THE CHOICE OF ITS ROLLING STOCK
Quebec's public transport agency Exo, which operates RTM, Greater Montreal’s metropolitan transport network, has called on the services of SYSTRA Canada to assist in the acquisition of its rolling stock.
This new contract is a six-year procurement mandate. SYSTRA Canada's Rolling Stock Business Unit will provide technical services to deliver the new Siemens ‘Charger’ locomotives ordered by Exo for the operation of its five rail lines serving the Montreal metropolitan area.
Our teams will ensure that the equipment complies with Canadian regulatory requirements and operating conditions and is compatible with the operator's existing fleets. SYSTRA Canada will manage the project from start to finish, including design review and production supervision, quality certification, and testing and validation of the equipment up until it is put into service.
Ten locomotives are initially planned, with an option for additional equipment.
We are proud and excited to be part of this important program. Our extensive experience in major procurement projects will allow us to contribute to the execution of this project. We look forward to working with exo on the modernization of their fleet in a safe and sustainable way.
Increasingly present on the Quebec market
This is another success for SYSTRA with the RTM and, more widely, in the service of mobility in Quebec, in which SYSTRA has been involved since the design of the Montreal metro in the 1960s. We are now present on the main transport projects in the province.
