La Société du Grand Paris opts for Kontron Transportation technology
Kontron Transportation has been awarded a contract by La Société du Grand Paris (SGP) for the supply, installation and maintenance of the private radio system for line 18 of the Grand Paris Express network. The 15-year contract is part of the biggest construction project in Europe to date.

Kontron Transportation’s scope of delivery concerns the deployment of the 4G public-safety LTE (PS-LTE) radio systems, the wireless broadband network infrastructure, the onboard devices and the mobile terminals necessary for public transportation operations and safety over 35 kilometers of railway tracks and associated train stations from Orly to Versailles. The 15-year contract is part of the largest ongoing construction project in Europe to date.

- Provide a highly secure broadband access for mission critical digital applications. This is not met by mobile network operators and Internet service providers.
