RAILCAR AVAILABILITY: 119M³ MULTI-PURPOSE CHAMPION GAS RAILCAR
Our state-of-the-art, efficient and versatile 119m³ gas railcar has already proven to be a favorite among customers. Since its launch just a few years ago, GATX has leased over 500 cars of this type with more than 20 customers. Given the high demand, we will continue to assemble new 119m³ railcars at our in-house workshop in Ostróda, Poland.

What does this champion railcar look like?
Featured in GATX Rail Europe’s fleet since 2018, the Jumbo LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) 119m³ car stands as the optimized LPG wagon on the market in recent years. Its design improvements include lower tare weight, crash buffers, and omittance of the sunshield roof. In addition, the wagons are equipped with a strong tank head that is RID TE25 compliant, with free valve access location according to the EN12561-3 specifications and allows for an easy hydraulic valve operation. All valves are equipped with safe bellow tightenings. The car is further equipped with a higher wheelset class of 25t axles by a maximum axle load of 22.5 t and length over buffers of 18.8m, while the outer axles distance were manufactured to 13.90m.
