"The ecological revolution in rail transport": Alstom's round table at Expo Ferroviaria
Alstom will hold a round table, named “The ecological revolution in rail transport”, on September 29 in Milan Rho Fiera during Expo Ferroviaria. The conference will illustrate the new era of the sector in Italy
The conference will be attended by Michele Viale, General Manager Alstom in Italy and President and CEO Alstom Ferroviaria S.p.a, Alessandra Todde, Vice-Minister of Economic Development (TBC), Giorgio Botti, CEO Ferrovie del Sud e Servizi Automobilistici S. R.L (GRUPPO FS), Marco Piuri, CEO of Trenord, Sabrina De Filippis, Trenitalia Regional Business Director, Giuseppe Cesare Donina, Member of Parliament, Andrea Vallascas, Member of Parliament, Davide Gariglio, Member of Parliament.
Alstom will illustrate its role in the future of Green mobility in Italy and will exchange with the participants about the ecological engagements in rail transport.
Alstom, which has been present in Italy for over 20 years, with 10 plants, over 30 depots and over 3,500 employees, has recently won a tender from Trenitalia, for the supply of an additional 150 trains of the Coradia Stream family running at 160 km/h. In addition, Alstom will be the first to bring hydrogen trains to Italy in 2022, in the Italian Hydrogen Valley project in Valcamonica promoted by FNM and Trenord.
Alstom will be present at the Expo Ferroviaria and will showcase its digital solutions for smart mobility, its mobility solutions for a sustainable future, including hydrogens and battery trains, metros, monorail, tramways and locomotives.
