OSLO TRAM JOINS LEADMIND, CAF’S DIGITAL PLATFORM, FOR EASING DIAGNOSTICS IN THE TESTING PHASE

CAF is the supplier of the new 87 trams of the Urbos range for Sporveien, public transport operator of the capital Norway. The first units are already in the testing phase and feature LeadMind, CAF's digital platform for optimizing fleet operation and maintenance. The platform is providing a great improvement from this first phase, accelerating diagnostics times and increasing customer satisfaction.

CAF SECURES TWO SERVICE CONTRACTS IN SWEDEN

National rail transport operator, SJ AB has awarded EuroMaint Rail AB, a Swedish subsidiary of the CAF Group, two service contracts worth more than €100 million in total.

DE LIJN (BELGIUM) AND TRANSPORT OF NEW SOUTH WALES (AUSTRALIA) RENEW THEIR TRUST IN CAF BY EXTENDING THEIR TRAM SUPPLY CONTRACTS

The CAF Group has again earned the trust of two customers which are benchmark companies in their countries, having secured tram supply extension contracts in Belgium and Australia. In spite of being so far away from each other geographically, these two countries are extremely demanding in terms of their transport service investment policies.

CAF CONCLUDES TWO NEW CONTRACTS IN GERMANY

The CAF Group has secured both contracts on the German market. Firstly, it has entered into a contract with the operator Ruhrbahn GmbH to supply 51 LRVs, which will serve the cities of Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr. Secondly, the company has won an extension of eight additional trams for the city of Freiburg. Both contracts amount to a figure of almost €200 M.

AB TRANSITIO AWARDS CAF CONTRACT TO SUPPLY UNITS THAT WILL OPERATE IN SEVERAL SWEDEN REGIONS

AB Transitio has awarded CAF a contract to supply regional trains under the terms of the framework agreement signed in 2014 by the Swedish public company relative to regional train purchases. The base contract comprises the production of 20 EMUs (electric units), 4 cars each, and 8 BMUs (biodiesel-electric bimodal units) consisting of 3 cars plus a power car. The contract provides for additional options that could increase the number of units by an additional 19 EMUs and 7 BMUs. The base contract amounts to more than €250 million, a figure that would almost double should all the additional vehicle options included in the contract be executed. The first units are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2023.
