The City of Calgary has selected CAF to supply 28 LRV units which will serve the future Green Line, that will run along a 46 km north-south route across the city. The project, which comprises the first 20 km stage of the line, is already underway and will connect Shepard Station, where the depot will be located, with the 16 Avenue North station in the north of the city.

CAF has secured the acquisition of all of the shares for Orbital Critical Systems, a company which specialises in the design and supply of critical systems for both the aerospace and railway sectors.

National rail transport operator, SJ AB has awarded EuroMaint Rail AB, a Swedish subsidiary of the CAF Group, two service contracts worth more than €100 million in total.

The aforementioned transport authorities, ZV VRR and NWL, control a significant portion of both rail and bus transport in Germany's most populated Federal State, North Rhine-Westphalia, home to almost 18 million inhabitants; the state capital being Düsseldorf.

The CAF Group has secured both contracts on the German market. Firstly, it has entered into a contract with the operator Ruhrbahn GmbH to supply 51 LRVs, which will serve the cities of Essen and Mülheim an der Ruhr. Secondly, the company has won an extension of eight additional trams for the city of Freiburg. Both contracts amount to a figure of almost €200 M.
