Vossloh, one of the world’s leading providers of products and services related to rail infrastructure, has secured an economically and strategically important contract to deliver rail fastening systems for a new high-speed line in northern Egypt.

Vossloh wins order from China to supply world's first zero-emission high-speed grinding trains

Vossloh, a long-established and world-leading supplier of rail infrastructure products and services, was awarded a trendsetting contract for the supply of three high-speed grinding trains (HSG-city) for use in the metro network of the southern Chinese metropolis of Shenzhen at the beginning of this year. By coupling to the electric traction unit, the newly developed grinding train draws its power from the conductor rail and can therefore be operated completely emission-free.

VOSSLOH’S LEADING LOGISTICS EXPERTISE ENABLES SUCCESSFUL MODERNIZATION OF THE BERLIN – HAMBURG HIGH-SPEED LINE IN RECORD TIME

Vossloh is one of the main players in the modernization of Deutsche Bahn's main transport lines. Deutsche Bahn has just successfully completed the comprehensive renewal of several track sections with a total length of around 193 kilometers on the Berlin-Hamburg high-speed line at a total cost of around €100 million. Vossloh supplied the pre-manufactured long rails with a total length of around 400,000 meters from its welding plants on a just-in-time basis and was responsible for the overall rail logistics. Since September 11, 2021, 34 long rail units have been working on the project in a logistical masterstroke, mainly at weekends and at night, in order to minimize the impact on traffic.

VOSSLOH WINS MAJOR CONTRACT FOR THE SUPPLY OF INFRASTRUCTURE COMPONENTS IN NORWAY

Vossloh, a leading international supplier of rail infrastructure products and services, has won a comprehensive framework contract in Norway. Via its Swedish subsidiary Vossloh Nordic Switch Systems AB, switches and crossings will be supplied over the coming years to Bane NOR, the state-owned infrastructure manager of the roughly 4,200-km-long rail network in Norway.
