As part of this project, Colas Rail is responsible for designing and building the tracks and catenaries in zones G and H, the final sections of the line between Mitry-Mory (93) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. The contract, awarded to Valerian (leader), Colas Rail and Colas Rail Infra Services, Spie Batignolles Génie civil, Demathieu Bard, Egis Rail and Fer Expert, covers the construction of 5.8 kilometres of new rail infrastructure. On behalf of SNCF Réseau, the consortium is designing and building earthworks, drainage works, engineering structures, track laying, the installation of catenary wires and civil engineering for signalling.

Zone G: 4.5 km of dual carriageway to be created
This overhead section of 4.5 km of double ballast track will lead to the installation of three rail bridges and one road bridge.

Zone H: 1.3 km to Charles de Gaulle 2 HSL airport station
The second section, located in the commune of Tremblay-en-France, concerns the development of the tunnel and the Charles de Gaulle 2 HSL airport station in zone H. It involves the construction of 1.3 km of concrete double track, a sidings track, the installation of 9 turnouts, civil engineering for signalling, evacuation routes and the construction of service platforms along the sidings track to accommodate the storage of Transiliens trains.

12 km of catenary lines will also be laid, and a substation built on these sections.

The project will involve around a hundred operatives from the Major Works and Catenary regional branches.

The CDG Express will complement existing modes of transport to guarantee connections between Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport and the centre of Paris. This project for a direct rail link with optimum interconnectivity is designed to meet the needs of passengers who want a high-level of service that is reliable, fast, comfortable and connected.
