Akiem and Talbot Services signed a contract for the overhaul of 23 TRAXX BR186 locomotives

Founded in 1838 and based in Aachen, Germany, Talbot Services specializes in the maintenance, repair and general overhaul of rail vehicles and/or their subsystems.

Akiem chose Talbot Services to overhaul 23 of its TRAXX BR186 locomotives because of Talbot's long experience and agility in maintenance operations. All works will be carried out by Talbot Services teams working in Aachen, while Akiem Maintenance & Services will be responsible for maintenance engineering and the supply chain of parts and overhauled components. The contract is backed by performance guarantees covering overhaul reliability levels and turnaround times for each locomotive.

This contract demonstrates Akiem's determination to complement its in-house industrial capacities and diversify its procurement of European rolling-stock maintenance services, ensuring its rail operator customers benefit from ever higher levels of reliability and operational availability.
