DIEHL AVIATION PRESENTS CUTTING-EDGE FIRE PROTECTION SOLUTIONS AT INNOTRANS
Diehl Aviation boasts many years of experience and the utmost expertise in the field of fire protection - not only in aviation: in the rail sector, too, the company has also been offering comprehensive fire protection concepts for more than 20 years, from development and production through to after-sales market.
Diehl Aviation is presenting its most up-to-date fire protection solutions, hosting, for the first time, its own stand, at the international trade fair for transport technology InnoTrans from 20th to 23rd September 2022 in Berlin.
Integrated fire protection solutions for the rail sector
InnoTrans is the leading international trade fair for transport technology. It takes place every two years, occupying the entire premises at Berlin Exhibition Grounds. International technology firms introduce their current products and innovations in the fields of public transport, railway technology, infrastructure and interior and tunnel construction over an area of 200,000 square meters. Diehl Aviation is represented this year for the first time with its own stand and will be presenting its most up-to-date integrated fire protection solutions for the rail sector.
As one of the leading aviation suppliers, Diehl Aviation has for two decades now also been developing integrated fire protection solutions for the rail sector, in order to ensure a rapid and automatic detection of fires as well as safe firefighting. Here, the company profits from its expertise and the synergies from aviation: fire detection in aircraft requires the highest possible levels of reliability and a high degree of robustness with regard to false alarms, which characteristics are also very advantageous for the systems in the rail sector.
From development to production to service
In addition to fire-detecting and extinguishing technology, the product portfolio of Diehl Aviation also includes the complete integration into the systems of rail vehicles. Here, as in the case of the development of the sensors and the software, the company relies 100 percent on in-house development. This makes it possible to ensure the highest quality standards at all times. The rail experts at Diehl Aviation have been working very closely from the very beginning with the TÜV (Technical Inspection Association) for purposes of the required safety accreditations for all systems.
With regard to fire protection solutions, Diehl Aviation is the only company which services the entire value chain from development to production to service. Thus, the supplier is also an indispensible partner for newest generation fire protection systems for customers in the rail sector. Diehl Aviation presents its integrated concept for the first time at this year's InnoTrans at stand number 875 in hall 5.2.
