The Moscow Department of Transport noted that for the past 15 months, the city has been purchasing only Moscow-2020 cars. These trains surpass many world analogs in comfort: the door width is significantly wider than in trains manufactured by Siemens or Alstom. The cars are equipped with the latest passenger information system. In addition, these trains are equipped with smoke detectors, interactive displays for navigation. There are also two climate control units with air disinfection in each car and the number of USB-ports has increased fivefold.

“The President of Russia instructed to implement the program for modernization of passenger transport throughout the country. This year in Moscow on the decision of the Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin Russian latest-generation trains Moscow-2020, whose convenience and comfort is already appreciated by our passengers, will arrive in the metro. Last year we have launched 337 new cars, which are superior not only to the previous generation of trains of the Moscow Metro but also to the world analogs,” - said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.

The city trains of the latest generation received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 for the best design. The international jury unanimously gave the highest score in the Trains and Planes category.
