InnoTrans on course for success: Over 90 per cent of exhibition space already booked
The thirteenth edition of the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology will take place from 20 to 23 September 2022 in Berlin. Exhibitors will present their innovations in the Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction segments.
One year before InnoTrans is due to open, bookings for the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology have already matched those of the previous event. When the official registration deadline expires on 15 October more than 103,000 m² will already have been reserved, the same as the hall area at InnoTrans 2018. hub27, a new highlight, will now celebrate its InnoTrans debut in 2022. Located adjacent to the rail track site, the multi-purpose hall offers 10,000 m² of additional exhibition space and is already fully booked. The rail track and outdoor display site with around 3,500 metres of track is almost full up too. “Exhibitor demand is high. The addition of hub27 means we can expand the overall area of InnoTrans and offer individual extra space in the respective segments“, says Kerstin Schulz, director of InnoTrans.
At 64 per cent international participation is high, with exhibitors representing 57 countries. “We are delighted that the response has remained positive worldwide. It is nice to see most exhibitors have remained loyal to us during the pandemic. And those who initially cancelled their participation for understandable reasons are gradually coming back. We see that everyone is keen to finally come together again for the industry’s global platform in September 2022“, says Kerstin Schulz.
InnoTrans 2022 presents the future of mobility
The Mobility+ displays will form a new part of the Public Transport segment, where InnoTrans will target providers of supplementary mobility services. The focus here is on shared mobility, mobility apps and the first / last mile. The Bus Display will also feature again, providing vehicle manufacturers with a presentation area for buses on the Static Display and a test circuit on the adjacent demonstration course.
Live on the grounds and a virtual presence online
The InnoTrans Preview offers a virtual foretaste of the topics at InnoTrans 2022. With the InnoTrans Podcast for example, the focus is on the future of mobility. In the next episode, due to be aired on 12 October, the guest will be Henri Poupart-Lafarge, CEO of Alstom.
Other virtual features will also be available during InnoTrans itself. In addition to the services offered by the live-streamed supporting programme, Speakers‘ Corner and on-demand videos after the event, the InnoTrans virtual industry platform lets exhibitors present their company 365 days a year.
