InnoTrans to launch its mobility podcast on 9 February

“The InnoTrans podcast is an important step on the road to InnoTrans 2022. It represents a lively content platform, augmented by new findings, stories and insights from our international interview partners. What is more, every episode will have exclusive InnoTrans updates for our listeners“, said Kerstin Schulz, director of InnoTrans, speaking about the project.

The twenty-minute podcast will be aired monthly and is devoted to the latest developments and challenges in the mobility sector. "Together with our international partners our aim is to provide our community with a global overview of the latest developments. What is the situation in Japan or the US? How is the pandemic affecting tomorrow’s mobility challenges around the world? What will be the trends at InnoTrans 2022? These are all fascinating questions we want to discuss with our guests“, said Kerstin Schulz.

The first podcast’s guest will be Dr. Ben Möbius, managing director of the German Railway Industry Association. In the interview he will be talking about how the coronavirus pandemic has impacted the rail industry. The focus will also be on ambitious mobility solutions in response to the wide-ranging challenges of a green recovery and the opportunities that digitalisation offers. Other topics will include innovative mobility concepts at InnoTrans 2022.

“The green recovery needs forward-looking mobility concepts and therefore it needs InnoTrans. The focus is on two things simultaneously: restarting growth and protecting the environment. In a fossil-fuel transport environment the two usually contradict other. Rail 4.0 means we can combine both. Creating new services instead of imposing bans is the path to an emissions-free future in the mobility sector. A one-hundred per cent travel experience, a one-hundred per cent pioneering spirit and zero emissions – InnoTrans is the forum for that“, said Möbius.

The second InnoTrans podcast will be aired on 9 March. More information will be available soon.
