SüdLeasing orders 20 Vectron locomotives with XLoad on behalf of SBB Cargo International

First order for multisystem locomotives with XLoad equipment package. Switzerland’s SBB Cargo International AG, in cooperation with SüdLeasing GmbH, has ordered 20 Vectron multisystem locomotives equipped with the XLoad package from Siemens Mobility. SBB Cargo International will lease the locomotives from SüdLeasing under a long-term rental plan with a flexible term.

SIEMENS MOBILITY TO DELIVER POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR JURONG REGION LINE IN SINGAPORE

A Siemens Mobility led consortium that includes Concord Corporation Pte Ltd. has been awarded a contract by the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) for the design, supply, testing, and commissioning of the power supply system for the future Jurong Region Line. The system will be designed to be upgradeable, with interfaces for connecting power supply and signaling that will meet industry standards.

Amtrak orders 50 more Charger Locomotives from Siemens Mobility

Amtrak, the National Railroad Passenger Corporation of the United States, has ordered an additional 50 Charge Locomotives from Siemens Mobility. Together with the initial order of 75 locomotives in 2018, the 125 diesel-electric units are an important part of Amtrak’s sustainability initiative and are considerably more environmentally friendly than their 1990’s predecessors.
