CargoBeamer, Europe's leading logistics service provider for the intermodal transport of non-craneable semi-trailers, is entering the production of intermodal wagons. In Central Germany’s Erfurt, the company will open a facility to produce CargoBeamer’s proprietary freight cars later this year. At the site, which was used to manufacture locomotives in the 20th century, the final assembly of the wagons will initially take place.

The logistics service provider CargoBeamer has launched a new connection for the unaccompanied transport of semi-trailers by rail. Unaccompanied transport of semi-trailers expanded on the Franco-German corridor.

CargoBeamer, a European pioneer in decarbonizing freight traffic, accelerates its growth rate. The Supervisory Board appointed Nicolas Albrecht (33) as the Company’s new CEO. Albrecht joined the Executive Board in January 2020 as Chief Business Development Officer.

New route starting in January 2022.

The lane between Calais and Domodossola serves as the latest addition to the intermodal route network of CargoBeamer. Starting off on October 4th, trains will circle on four roundtrips per week between the locations in France and Italy. From December, the frequency will increase to six weekly trips in each direction, meaning that at least one train will run on the newly added route every day.
