RCG is the number 1 in rail logistics to and from Turkey

In 2019, the Rail Cargo Group is again the leading customer of the Turkish state railway TCDD Taşımacılık and leads the way in terms of number of wagons and loaded net tons to and from Turkey.

15,139 wagons weighing a total of 534,212 tonnes in the Intermodal and conventional sectors were handled on the Turkish Federal Railways’ lines last year This makes Rail Cargo Logistics the Turkish Federal Railways TCDD Taşımacılık AS (TCDD Cargo)’s top customer in Turkey the third year in a row since 2017 and 2018.

Primarily trade and consumer goods as well as chemical products, car spare parts, raw materials from the mining industry, wood and paper are carried to and from Turkey as part of intermodal and conventional rail transport services. However, Rail Cargo Logistics’ focus lies not only on the Turkish market, but also on Turkey’s neighbours and on Asia.

TransFER connections to and from Turkey
As part of the weekly TransFER connections Sopron–Budapest–Istanbul and Budapest–Neuss, block trains and wagon groups loaded with construction materials and steel products make their way between Turkey, South-Eastern Europe and Germany.
