A new important step has been taken in the integration of the Atlas signalling system onboard Alstom’s Traxx locomotive platform.

The driverless monorail system will be able to operate at speeds of up to 80 km/h and carry a maximum of over 200,000 passengers per day.

The new vehicles will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to improve reliability and punctuality.

The first hybrid electric-diesel-battery regional train underwent its first tests at the beginning of April on the Toulouse-Mazamet and Toulouse-Rodez lines (in the South of France).

The agreement calls for the delivery of fully customised, sustainable, next-generation Citadis light rail vehicles (LRVs) specifically designed for North America and made to navigate the historic streets of Philadelphia.

The partnership will focus on helping the rail sector transition to more sustainable transportation systems.
