Thales will design, install, test and commission the Operation Control Centre (OCC) for the new Line 7 of the Santiago metro in Chile and provide associated maintenance services for 10 years.

The collaboration will boost local competencies within SMRT Trains’ Integrated Electronic Workshop to diagnose and repair these critical components, enhancing the long-term reliability and sustainability of the signalling systems running on the nation’s legacy MRT lines.

A new bypass link of approximately 1.7 km will cut travel times for Seville - Malaga - Granada high-speed services used by millions of travellers per year.

This MoU will allow Thales and Etihad Rail to develop a collaboration on rail control, smart stations and ticketing technologies. ​.
