Colas Rail won two contracts for the maintenance of the Channel Tunnel tracks awarded by Eurotunnel. Used for the transport of goods and passengers, the two railway tunnels which connect the North of France to the South-East of England represent a network of 200 km of railways. The total amount of the two contracts amounts to 10.4 million euros.
Colas Rail, leader of a consortium that includes Thales and Egis, has been selected by Mitsubishi Corporation to design and build the turnkey rail system for the first underground line of the Metro Manila Subway, for a total contract value of about €1 billion, of which €760 million* for Colas Rail. Colas Rail Algeria carried out the repair and replacement of the escalators of extension B of the Algiers Metro for its client, the Entreprise du Métro d’Alger. The four stations that make up extension B of the Algiers Metro include a total of 24 escalators, 8 of which needed to be repaired and 5 completely replaced. The project was carried out over a period of two years, with final delivery in May 2021.
SNCF Réseau awarded Colas Rail a contract for the renewal of the track between the Septèmes-les-Vallons and the Marseille Saint-Antoine stations in France, for a total of 2.5 million euros. Colas Rail will renew the track to the south of the Septèmes-les-Vallons station to eliminate noise pollution, rework on a switch at the station, as well as perform hydraulic works around the tracks.
As part of the Marigold Infrastructure Partners consortium, Colas (managing partner) and Parsons Inc. have been selected by the City of Edmonton, Alberta (Canada) to design, build and finance the Valley Line West LRT project. The contract value amounts to 1.7 billion Canadian dollars (approximately €1 billion), divided as a 50/50 partnership with Colas as the lead.
