InnoTrans 2024 to Display Over 110 Vehicles

From 24 to 27 September, InnoTrans 2024 will take place at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

The event will span 200,000 square meters across 42 halls and will feature over 2,900 exhibitors from 59 countries.

Outdoor Display

At the Outdoor Display, more than 110 passenger and freight vehicles will be on show. These include high-speed trains, regional trains, trams, hybrid locomotives, and rail maintenance vehicles across 3,500 meters of track.

Among the key exhibitors, Siemens Mobility will showcase five vehicles, including its Velaro high-speed train, designed for the Egyptian market and built to withstand extreme weather conditions while offering premium passenger comfort. The company will also present the Mireo Smart regional train, tailored to meet the evolving demands of rail transport.

Alstom will unveil its Coradia Max regional train, which combines single and double-decker configurations, and its Flexity tram, designed for Berlin’s public transport system. The Flexity tram, the longest in Berlin, prioirtises passenger space, sustainability, and innovative safety features such as ODAS.

Stadler will introduce eight vehicle concepts, including the RS ZERO, a zero-emissions train powered by fuel cells or battery-electric systems, making its public debut. Additionally, Stadler’s CITYLINK for Saarbahn will be displayed, offering a dual-functioning vehicle that serves as both a train and a tram.

Other notable exhibits include Hitachi Rail’s high-speed ETR1000, compatible with multiple European electric systems, and Hyundai Rotem’s new fuel cell-powered tram, known for its low noise, high energy efficiency, and quick refuelling capabilities.

Vossloh Rolling Stock will present the Modula BFC, a hybrid fuel cell-powered freight locomotive, and Tatravagónka a.s. will showcase its six-axle intermodal Sdggmrss wagon, designed for transporting non-craneable saddle trailers.

World Innovations

InnoTrans 2024 will feature approximately 220 world innovations across five segments: Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors, and Tunnel Construction.

Highlights include battery-electric and fuel cell-powered locomotives, AI-based timetable algorithms, MCX-enabled vehicle-to-ground communications, and innovative solutions for barrier-free train access and graffiti-resistant windows.

A comprehensive guide to world innovations will be available on the InnoTrans website. The event will also offer World Innovation Tours, where visitors can join guided tours to the stands showcasing these products.
