TCCS route at InnoTrans 2024: Smart solutions for catering and onboard comfort
Some 20 exhibitors present their innovations and services on the Travel Catering and Comfort Services Route (TCCS).
Comfort, service and an appealing design are what make a successful travel experience complete At InnoTrans 2024, 15,000 square metres of hall space are reserved for exhibitors in the Interiors segment. This is where trade visitors can experience trends and innovations in vehicle equipment, interiors and design. The dedicated Travel Catering & Comfort Services (TCCS) segment focuses on rail travel catering products and services, and is where some 20 exhibitors are presenting their innovations and services for onboard catering. All exhibitors form part of the TCCS-themed route. They are easy to find thanks to additional markings on InnoTrans Plus, in the app, the hall plans, on the exhibition stands and with the help of the route flyer.
The TCCS-themed route offers a broad spectrum, including intelligent coffeemakers, vending machines, sustainable travel catering, dishwashers for galleys, digital billing systems, trolleys, hygiene solutions and innovative surface materials for customised interiors. HOBART: a new generation of undercounter dishwashers
Based in Offenburg, HOBART is bringing a new generation of undercounter dishwashers to InnoTrans 2024 equipped with a self-cleaning washing system that makes cleaning processes in the galley much easier. With the new combined wash/rinse system, the spray arms self-clean during every cycle and flush dirt particles with every programme start. CSI Trolley: customised trolleys for onboard catering
The Italian manufacturer Cairate Sviluppi Industriali (CSI) employs a modular system to provide its customers with customised, multi-functional trolleys for onboard catering. In addition to standard features such as compartments and brakes, the design, dimensions and other functions can be tailored to customers' needs. (CSI Trolley, Hall 1.1, Stand 174)
gatesolutions: a one-stop shop for an onboard culinary experience
The caterer gatesolutions belongs to the Swiss gategroup, which already provides catering for 50 million rail customers worldwide. "With our culinary expertise, ranging from first-class dining to onboard bistro sales, gatesolutions is the one-stop shop for onboard catering and lounge solutions", the company says. "We supply customised culinary experiences for the rail industry." (gatesolutions, Hall 1.1, Stand 590)
Rex-Royal: innovative coffee machines made in Switzerland
Better performance and ease of use: Rex-Royal, a family-run business from Dällikon near Zürich is exhibiting its new S2 Railway 2024 to customers at the trade show. The coffee and tea maker features better performance and shorter waiting times, easier programming thanks to a new intuitive service menu, QR code payment with the Rex-Royal Qrpay on-screen solution, as well as T-TempControl for individually adjustable hot water temperature, for green tea for example. The S2 Railway Vintage, a dual-function coffeemaker for making barista-quality cappuccino, evokes a café or coffee bar atmosphere. It features a PowerSteam function for variable milk foam thickness – either with dairy or other milk alternatives. (Rex-Royal, Hall 1.1, Stand 570)
Hospitality Forum: discussion on the future of railway catering
Complementing the TCCS displays is the Hospitality Forum, organised by the International Rail Catering Group (IRCG), where experts will look at the future of rail travel catering.

Panel discussion:

The panel discussion will be followed by a presentation on the influence of European legislation on developments in the catering sector on long-distance trains. The IRCG is exhibiting in Hall 1.1 on Stand 490.
Repairs and resource conservation: sustainability in the Interiors segment
At InnoTrans 2024 sustainability is also a big topic in the Interiors segment – which features a wide range of solutions. BMS Projekt Upholstery (Hall 1.1, Stand 560) is a family-run enterprise from the Netherlands which specialises in upholstery and repairs, especially to furniture installed on trains, trams, metro vehicles and buses. The Swiss company Lantal Textiles (Hall 1.1, Stand 380) takes care to limit its carbon footprint and conserve resources during manufacturing, by digitally dying seat covers and floor coverings and recycling production waste, for example. Other manufacturers in the Interiors segment are presenting low-emission heating and cooling systems, eco-plastics for floor coverings and innovative ventilation systems.
