Hafeet Rail Company is a joint venture established by Etihad Rail, Oman Rail, and Mubadala Investment to build and operate the first cross-border rail network between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Sultanate of Oman. The project aims to connect Sohar Port to the UAE's national rail network, spanning 238 kilometers. Key infrastructure includes tunnels, viaducts, over-bridges, and under-passes, utilizing the European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 2 signaling. This network is set to enhance freight and passenger transportation, promoting economic integration and sustainable development in the region.
