ACTIA’s SAFeasy Portable Radio Warning Device (DAPR) promises to transform rail safety. Approved by SNCF for the French railway network, this innovative system features an automatic release function, improving the safety and efficiency of work sites.
The first real-life applications of ACTIA’s new long-distance Portable Radio Warning Device (DAPR) are conclusive. The system is being deployed on several large-scale railway renovation worksites by FVF and SAGES-RAIL, TSO subsidiaries of the NGE Group, which provides trackside safety for the SNCF railway network.
The very first 5-car MP14 metro train is now starting to be tested on line 11. For the record, the MP14 metro is the new Parisian rolling stock, the first of which were put into circulation on 12 October 2020 on line 14, with 8 cars. Thus, this metro is the longest in the Parisian network!.
ACTIA is a global player in public transport, and we can make a great contribution to this growing demand for performance. We are talking not only about the technical performance of the vehicles, but also about economic and ecological performance. Performance in the services offered to users is just as important, with the prospect in sight of a passenger journey which is as smooth, pleasant, and safe as possible… ACTIA’s approach therefore falls within this goal of all-round performance.
The first Mireo trains by Siemens Mobility equipped with ACTIA batteries and TOSHIBA LTO(Lithium Titanium Oxide) cells are planned to run on the Ortenau rail network in Germany. The ACTIA battery prototypes were supplied to Siemens for the important first test and evaluation phase. In total it is planned to equip 23 trains with ACTIA batteries. Through this first project, ACTIA affirms its partnership with Siemens Mobility and TOSHIBA LTO cells, for an efficient and clean battery system whose co-design represents a real technological challenge.
Working with SNCF and TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The first real-time video protection system for use on board trains has produced conclusive results. Honouring its commitments, ACTIA Telecom, the telecommunications division of the ACTIA Group, has successfully tested its system on around a hundred TER regional trains in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in partnership with SNCF.
The world railway market is organised around three main segments: rolling stock, signalling and infrastructure. This sector is particularly dynamic in Europe. On the Old Continent, urban areas and regions prioritise the modernisation of existing networks, infrastructure (roads, docks, highway structures, etc.) and signalling (on board and/or on the ground), as well as rejuvenation of the rolling stock.
ACTIA Telecom, the ACTIA Group’s telecommunications division, is deploying its wireless trackside safety warning system on several railway track work sites on France’s railway network. This second-generation radio warning system is one of the first in the market to cover a work site over 1 km long.
